Overview
Come lead with us at Houston Methodist Specialty Physician Group. The Regional Administrator is responsible for activities of multiple, off-site practice locations within a specific region, including Primary Care and/or Specialty group practices. This role leads the integration of operational and clinical leadership structures and promotes business growth of the clinic network, in coordination with provider practice leaders and under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer and/or Regional CEO.
The Regional Administrator ensures compliance with legal requirements, standards, policies and procedures, including financial performance, quality service delivery, and the implementation of quality improvement processes.
- People/Department Leadership
:
Oversee department staff, ensure quality, productivity, functional excellence, and efficiency to achieve strategic and operational objectives. Manage employee engagement, staffing levels, budget development and compliance, hiring/termination decisions, coaching, and policy development to ensure a safe and effective work environment. - Operations and Compliance
:
Train, monitor, and implement operations initiatives to ensure ethical and legal business practices and regulatory compliance. - Interdepartmental Collaboration
:
Work with multiple physician practice leaders and executive leadership on physician recruitment, promotion, credentialing, and practice plan administration. Serve as liaison between Region physicians and HM/SPG executive administration and/or Department Chair.

Directs and develops strategic and operational projects; manages staff development, performance reviews, hiring guidelines, and interdepartmental collaboration to meet objectives. - Service Essential Functions

Oversees department operations and schedules to ensure timely goals, high customer/patient satisfaction, and space/resource planning in collaboration with practices. - Quality/Safety Essential Functions
:
Maintains a safe and effective working environment; monitors safety plans and credentialing; leads process improvements and safety training; ensures compliance with policies, licensing, and regulatory requirements. - Finance Essential Functions
:
Develops and manages budgets, capital plans, and financial targets; oversees fiscal administration including purchasing, inventory, and grants management; manages revenue cycle and analyzes practice metrics for performance improvement. - Growth/Innovation Essential Functions
:
Identifies and implements innovative solutions to improve operations; leads change initiatives and development plans; conducts staff development discussions.
- Education
:
Master’s degree or higher in Business or Health Care Administration - Experience
:
Six years of progressively responsible leadership experience in the applicable field, with four years in people management. For internal candidates, five years of staff experience with two years in project/management, or an Administrative Fellow with two years of experience. Experience in a physician organization or clinical practice setting. - Licenses and Certifications
:
Preferred - Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) - Skills and Abilities
:
Strong communication, leadership, and strategic planning; proficient in English; ability to work in a fast-paced environment; knowledge of regulatory and accreditation requirements; proficient in EPIC; proficient with spreadsheets, word processing, and presentations; ability to handle confidential information.

May require travel within and outside the Houston Metropolitan area
