$67.00/hr - $72.00/hr

About the Role

The Behavioral Therapist plays a critical role in delivering specialized behavioral health services to individuals, particularly those with developmental disabilities such as Down Syndrome and Autism Spectrum Disorder. This position focuses on designing and implementing individualized therapeutic interventions within home therapy settings to improve clients' social, communicative, and adaptive skills. The therapist collaborates closely with families, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure a holistic approach to behavioral health care.

Through consistent assessment and data‑driven strategies, the therapist aims to promote positive behavioral changes and enhance the overall quality of life for clients. Ultimately, this role contributes to empowering individuals to achieve greater independence and social integration within their communities.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Special Education, Behavioral Science, or a related field.
  • Certification or training in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) or equivalent behavioral therapy methodologies.
  • Experience working with individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or Down Syndrome.
  • Ability to provide behavioral health services within home therapy or community‑based settings.
  • Strong understanding of behavioral health principles and ethical standards in clinical practice.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Behavioral Therapy, Psychology, Social Work, or related discipline.
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) credential or equivalent advanced certification.
  • Experience in multidisciplinary team collaboration within behavioral health settings.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and data management software.
  • Additional training in family counseling or caregiver support techniques.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive behavioral assessments to identify client needs and develop tailored intervention plans.
  • Implement evidence‑based behavioral therapy techniques in home and community settings to address specific developmental and behavioral challenges.
  • Monitor client progress through data collection and analysis, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.
  • Collaborate with families, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to provide education, support, and coordinated care.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of therapy sessions, client progress, and communication with stakeholders in compliance with regulatory standards.
