Overview
The Patient Care Technician at MD Anderson Cancer Center provides direct patient care services as assigned by a registered nurse and plays an essential role in ensuring patient comfort, safety, and care outcomes. This role supports a fast paced emergency oncology environment and is vital to the delivery of timely, compassionate, and high quality patient care.

One year of current or recent patient care experience in a hospital setting, preferably in an emergency room/department - Licensure/Certification

Must pass pre employment skills test as required and administered by Human Resources
- Acts as a member of a multidisciplinary team that identifies and addresses patient care needs
- Assists with activities of daily living, mobilization, patient admits/discharges, and obtaining vital signs
- Updates and retrieves patient information
- Ensures patient environment is maintained in a clean, safe, and orderly manner
- Functions as part of an assigned care team
- Other duties as assigned
- Shift: Night shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, three shifts per week with rotating weekends and holidays

Onsite - FLSA: non-exempt and eligible for overtime pay
