Job Summary

Alumni Home Care is a boutique home care agency that puts our Caregivers first. As a Caregiver, you will be a critical member of our growing team, with a direct line to the agency owner and opportunities for advancement.

Responsibilities and Duties

As a Caregiver, you will be responsible for ensuring clients receive the critical assistance outlined in their personalized care plans. Day-to-day responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Personal care assistance: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting.
  • Mobility support: transfers, walking assistance, range of motion exercises.
  • Medication reminders.
  • Meal planning and preparation.
  • Light housekeeping.
  • Companionship and emotional support—sometimes the conversation is the care.
  • Transportation assistance for appointments and errands (as needed).
  • Care for clients with Alzheimer’s, dementia, and movement disorders.
  • Observation and communication: reporting changes in client condition to our care team.
What We're Looking For

Required qualifications:

  • 18 years of age or older.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • At least 1 year of professional caregiving experience in home care, hospital, assisted living, memory care, nursing home, hospice, or similar healthcare setting.
  • Professional references who can verify your caregiving experience.
  • Valid driver's license, auto insurance and access to a reliable personal vehicle.
  • Ability to pass background checks and drug screening.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain during paid training)
