Overview
The Assistant Health Services Administrator (AHSA) supervises healthcare operations at medium-to-large ICE Health Service Corps facilities, ensuring compliance with policies, regulations, and accreditation standards. Duties include personnel management, contract oversight, budget administration, and collaboration with leadership. Requires healthcare admin experience, and COR certification.
This position is only open to USPHS officers and Call to Active Duty (CAD) candidates.
Duties
- Supervise healthcare operations at ICE Health Service Corps facilities (medium-to-large).
- Ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and accreditation standards.
- Manage personnel, oversee contracts, and administer budgets.
- Collaborate with facility and agency leadership to support mission objectives.
- You must be a U.S. citizen to apply for this position.
- You must successfully pass a background investigation.
- You must successfully pass a drug screen.
- Males born after 12/31/1959 must certify Selective Service registration.
- Requirements by Closing Date:
You must meet all requirements by the closing date of the announcement unless otherwise noted. - Service Remaining Requirement Agreement:
Upon appointment, officers will be required to serve an 18 to 24-month commitment to IHSC. - ASSIGNMENT PAY AGREEMENT:
You must not have a current Assignment Pay Agreement. If you have one, it must be fulfilled within 90 days of your application submission. - Applicants must be a current USPHS Commissioned Corps Officer or USPHS Call to Active Duty (CAD) candidate. Civilians are not eligible for this position.
- PHS officers must participate in IHSC TDY On-Call Schedule (ITOS). ITOS is either an entire month or two 16-day periods per year, as required by agency needs.
