Overview
Texas Oncology is looking for a part-time Ultrasound Tech to join our team. This position is for the Kingwood, Texas location. This position will work at least 20 hours per week, usually on Thursdays and Fridays from 8 a.m.–6 p.m. Texas Oncology is the largest community oncology provider in the country and has approximately 600+ providers in 220+ sites across Texas and southeastern Oklahoma.

What does the Ultrasound Tech do? Under minimal supervision, the Ultrasound Tech is responsible for the coordination and administration of all ultrasound exams; ensures technical quality and timely reporting of results. Assures compliance with appropriate regulatory agencies related to patient and employee safety. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
ResponsibilitiesWhat does the Ultrasound Tech do? TheEssential Duties And Responsibilities
- Performs ultrasound procedures as ordered achieving a high level of quality.
- Offers expertise to physicians regarding appropriateness of additional/modified studies, etc.
- Escorts patients to treatment room.
- Assists with dressings as necessary.
- Completes all paperwork necessary to ensure timely delivery of ultrasound services.
- Develops and processes images. Logs ultrasound procedures completed. Processes routine paperwork.
- Conducts daily quality control measures to monitor machine performance. Reports all malfunctions and/or need for adjustments to the proper company or facility.
The ideal candidate for the Ultrasound Tech will have the following background and experience:
- Graduate from an accredited school of ultrasound technology required.
- Minimum three years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist required.
- Certification as a registered ultrasound technologist required.
- Current CPR certifications required.
- RVT certification required.
- Echocardiography experience strongly preferred.
