Position Summary

The Assisted Living Coordinator provides support to the daily leadership and management of the Assisted Living and Memory support staff. The Assisted Living Director and Supervisor will work with the Assisted Living Coordinator to evaluate the care delivered to the resident as well as mentoring/monitoring the successful engagement of care and activities for the residents. This role partners with the Assisted Living Director and Supervisor to ensure that the services driven by the resident service plan are provided and changes are communicated.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Buckingham is a complex organization and there may be situations, issues and/or circumstances that arise requiring this position to provide help and support outside of the normal duties.

In those situations, issues or circumstances, other duties may be required and assigned.

  • Coordinates all new resident move ins through the oversight of the Assisted Living Supervisor with a strong emphasis on hospitality, resident and family orientation, coordination of resident needs, and staff education.
  • Provides training to new and current associates as per direction by Assisted Living Supervisor.
  • Reviews resident shower, meals, laundry, and care schedules to observe for general compliance.
  • Follows up with resident appointments, out of community schedules, resident outings, and general transportation needs.
  • Reviews call light report to provide additional support for responses and report findings to Assisted Living Supervisor.
  • Provides assistance with individualized resident needs and communication of those needs to the Assisted Living Supervisor.
  • Updates resident service plan as needed through the Assisted Living Supervisor.
  • Reports directly to the Supervisor.
  • This position does not have direct oversight of associates. All associate concerns shall be brought to the attention of the Assisted Living Supervisor by the Assisted Living Coordinator.
  • Schedule includes every other weekend to include Saturday and Sunday in the weekly work schedule.
  • May provide direct resident care, to include CNA/CMA duties, based on current licensure
  • Other duties as assigned
