Job Summary

The Oncology Data Specialist - Certified (ODS‑C) is responsible for performing all functions associated with the maintenance of the Harris Health System Cancer Registry; case finding, abstracting, follow‑up, participating with registry quality assurance functions, and tumor boards.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree with completion of the Cancer Data Management program via an approved program by the National Cancer Registrar Association (NCRA) and one (1) year of work experience as an Oncology Data Specialist – Certified (ODS‑C) (preferred)
  • High school diploma with completion of the Cancer Data Management program via an approved program by the National Cancer Registrar Association (NCRA) and two (2) years of work experience as an Oncology Data Specialist – Certified (ODS‑C)

    Oncology Data Specialist – Certified (ODS‑C)
  • Communication

    Skills:

    Exceptional verbal (e.g., public speaking), writing/correspondence, writing/reports
  • Proficiencies:
    Personal computer, Excel
