Job Summary and Qualifications

Under the direct supervision of the OR Supervisor and general direction of the Surgical Services Manager, the Surgical Technologist plans for and scrubs assigned surgical procedures.

What you will do in this role:

* Plans for and scrubs assigned surgical procedures in accordance with AORN, AST, quality, regulatory, and company standards.

* Participates in on-call rotation based on the need of the department.

* Operates the sterilizer and other patient care equipment according to manufacturer's instructions after proper training.

* Promotes hospital processes and goals, and communicates issues, whether actual or potential, to appropriate person in the chain of command.

* Takes initiative in performing other duties, whether assigned or not, such as assisting with updating surgeon preference cards, pulling case carts, stocking rooms, turning-over the OR, and assisting with scheduled supply inventory.
