Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Lead Surgical Technologist at HCA Healthcare, you'll take on a vital leadership role in the OR, guiding your team and ensuring patients receive the safest, most advanced surgical care. What you will do in this role:

* Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, sets up and maintains a sterile field for surgical procedures applying special knowledge of asepsis.

* Displays ability to function effectively in surgical cases across multiple services with multiple surgeons.

* Organizes instruments, equipment, and supplies for easy access and maximum efficiency to decrease delays.

* Participates in a rotational call system as needed to provide for continuous availability of patient services.

* Follows appropriate guidelines for setting up sterile field and instruments for designated procedures.

* Takes personal initiative to learn new procedures with new physicians, coordinating personal schedule with assistant director to accommodate learning needs.

* Applies principles of safety in the performance of all responsibilities. Apply basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology required to assist in surgical procedures in the Operating Room.
