Join Our Colon & Rectal Surgery Team as an Advanced Practice Provider - Advanced Practice Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant (APRN/PA)Must be open to traveling to Houston Area Locations (HALs).
Shift: Monday – Friday 8-5 pm. No weekends. No on call. Outpatient

- Experience managing surgical patients
- Surgical Oncology experience
- Experience with Epic/One Connect
- New graduates will be considered; however, prior APP experience is preferred in a critical care environment or surgical experience.
- RNFA for APRNs is a plus but not required.
- Perform comprehensive history and physical examinations for new, consult, and follow‑up patients
- Collaborate with supervising physicians and fellows to develop and implement care plans
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests, imaging, and lab work
- Document clinical encounters clearly via dictation or manual entry
- Perform minor outpatient procedures (e.g., wound care, drain removal, suture removal)
- Manage pre‑ and post‑operative care for surgical patients
- Provide thorough patient and family education
- Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams across the institution
- Participate in education, research, and administrative initiatives as needed
- Other duties as assigned

- The position offers the opportunity to work closely with surgical oncology faculty in a high‑impact, patient‑centered practice.
Required:
Master's Degree Accredited Physician Assistant (PA) program by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC‑PA), except for Physician Assistants who graduated from a PA program prior to 2013.
