ResponsibilitiesAs an H-E-B Pharmacy Tech, you'll work in a team environment, helping ensure we exceed patient expectations while delivering excellent, accurate, and efficient services. You will support pharmacy operations, manage exception stations, verify prescriptions, coordinate screening events, maintain inventory, and perform various compliance tasks.

- High school diploma or equivalent; 18 years old
- Experience as a retail Certified Pharmacy Technician and pharmacy experience
- Active CPhT certification
- 3+ years of pharmacy experience (preferred); 1+ year as active retail CPhT
- Experience in a fast‑paced environment
- RxEVO certification
- Successful completion of required training (H-E-B Screener, Advanced Cash Register, HIPAA, etc.)
- Role models / provides superior customer service
- Promotes 'Greet, Ask & Thank' and H-E-B telephone strategies
- Manages exception station; solves third‑party issues
- Receives and processes written prescriptions using RxEVO; verifies patient info; processes third‑party prescriptions; manages adjudication review
- Coordinates Rx screening events, flu shot scheduling, immunization scheduling, and future events
- Maintains H-E-B Rx screener status; participates in screening events
- Assists with pharmacy operations‑related tasks (recalls, record storage, DSD reconciliation, etc.)
- Orders and manages inventory; processes invoices daily
- Reviews Warehouse and DSD orders
- Checks deliveries for accuracy; notifies vendor of discrepancies
- Maintains automated prescription processing equipment (Kirby Lester, Script Pro, etc.)
- Applies computer troubleshooting and prescription application overview
- Processes RxIMS reports
- Performs other assigned duties
- Performs prescription assembly; hand‑counts controlled meds; measures liquids; reconstitutes antibiotics; verifies & labels prescriptions by 7‑point check
- Ensures privacy / confidentiality of PHI as required by HIPAA
- Ensures compliance with Central Fill check‑in procedures
- Participates in ensuring Pharmacy Partner compliance with ORT, 5‑S, and Pharmacy Standards Review
- Ensures proper return‑to‑stock procedures are followed; responsible for shelf presentation
- Supports Pharmacy Manager in facility maintenance; ensures 5‑S compliance
- At least 18 years old (mandatory)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years pharmacy experience (preferred)
- 1+ years active retail CPhT
- Experience in a fast‑paced environment
- Active State of Texas registration as CPhT; maintain 20 hours CE every 2 years
- Certification as an H‑E‑B Pharmacy Technician
- RxEVO certification
- Successful completion of required training modules
- Working knowledge of pharmacy management tasks and H‑E‑B RxEVO
- Knowledge of H‑E‑B Pharmacy SOPs
- Advanced communication skills; advanced telephone etiquette
- Intermediate computer skills (MS Office, Windows, RxEVO, RxIMS, Partner Net, Workforce Manager)
- Mathematical skills for measuring prescriptions
- Ability to manage multiple priorities; shift focus between tasks
- Stay composed in high‑stress situations
- Self‑starter, works with little supervision
- Team‑oriented, open to cross‑training
- Function in fast‑paced, retail, office environment
- Work rotating shifts; nights and weekends
