Position Overview

The Diabetes Prevention Program Supervisor is responsible for the oversight and supervision of the Diabetes Prevention Program day‑to‑day operations and staff. This role is responsible for delivering high‑quality diabetes prevention programs to Harris County residents and fostering relationships with community partners.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Supervise, develop, support, and evaluate program staff to ensure adherence to established procedures, quality standards, and timeliness while managing daily program operations.
  • Utilizes evidence‑based diabetes prevention/management curriculum to instruct, manage, and facilitate lifestyle education to the community.
  • Plans and conducts outreach activities, including attending partnership meetings and community events, to enhance program engagement and participation.
  • Develops and maintains partnerships with Harris County community organizations in order to launch education sessions and ensure successful participation within the community.
  • Records and monitors participant data, including number of participants seen. Tracks progress toward program goals and ensures documentation is accurate and completed timely. ฝ่ายขายข่าว
  • Reviews records and reports pertaining to program activities, evaluates performance for program activities and employees, and makes adjustments as needed.
  • Stays updated on the latest research, approaches, theories, and practices in pre‑diabetes and diabetes management.

Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in nutrition, dietetics, public health, or related field.
Experience
  • At least two (2) years of experience working directly in public health, nutrition and/or dietetics.
  • At least one (1) year of experience supervising program activities and staff.
Licensure/Certification s
  • Valid Texas Driver’s License.

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and foster teamwork in a diverse environment.
