Our Vascular Access Center, in Houston, is hiring a Center Administrator

Center Administrator is responsible for the day‑to‑day clinical operation and oversight of the Center(s). The management spectrum covers planning, organizing, delegating, coordinating, staff utilization, resource allocation, cost controls, and compliance. The Centre Administrator also maintains the Center(s) supply inventory, PAR levels and equipment. The position monitors vascular access procedures or other procedures as determined by senior leadership, to ensure high quality outcomes and compliance with standards established by The Joint Commission.

This position is responsible for patient advocacy, physician relations, teammate interaction, and maintaining the Center(s) schedule.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide leadership to teammates
    • Assist teammates overcome organizational obstacles encountered during projects.
    • Educate and communicate to teammates Center policies and procedures.
    • Complete teammate performance appraisals.
    • Facilitate teammate development and establish goals for teammate growth.
    • Administer teammate coaching and disciplinary action with appropriate approvals as needed.
    • Address teammate issues and escalate to appropriate parties as necessary.
  • Provide direction for center staff to ensure quality of work.
  • Determine staffing plans that promote the most effective use of all staff members and ensure coverage during absences.
  • Review and approve employee timecards.
  • Develop and conduct training programs to keep staff current with policies, regulations, and laws for the Center(s). Ensure information is communicated as necessary to maintain staff knowledge of processes and goals.
  • Oversee the center schedule and assure patients are scheduled in a timely manner.
  • Maintain and educate staff on safety and security procedures and protocols.
  • Know and understand all clinical policies and procedures.
  • In collaboration with the Regional Manager, Medical Director, Panoramic Vice President of operations, manage Center(s) budget and inventory relative to patient volume; implement policies and procedures established by the Governing Board.
  • Support physicians and clinical team as necessary to deliver high quality care and positive outcomes.
  • Perform clinical duties, licensure and certifications.
  • Ensure patient scheduling adheres to known protocols as determined by the Governing Board.
  • Review patient records for accuracy and inclusion of updated information.
  • Ensure compliance with all State and Federal laws and regulations including Safety (OSHA), Radiology (ARRA), CMS and The Joint Commission.
  • Ensure the Center(s) maintenance of patient safety, medicine, crash cart, radiation safety and other logs as required by the Governing Body or State and Federal agencies.
  • In collaboration with the Director of ASC Operations and Medical Director maintain relationships with vendors and negotiate pricing on behalf of the Center(s).
  • Fulfill and fulfill weekly, daily, or monthly reporting requirements as requested by Regional Manager and/or VP of Operations.
  • Other duties as required including but not limited to any directive of the Director of ASC Operations or member of the Provider team.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as required, assigned, or requested.

Qualifications:

  • RN, RT, or CST Licensure.
  • Current BLS Certification.
  • 3 years progressive medical office experience.
  • 1 year of management experience in ambulatory care.
  • Knowledge of business plans, budgeting and quality improvement process preferred.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Ability to interact with patients, medical staff, administrative staff, and the public effectively.
  • Intermediate skills with MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook.
  • Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Additional languages preferred.
  • Demonstrated communication skills which indicate ability to be successful at counseling, teaching, and assessing.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common professional journals, nationally recognized guidelines, and regulations.
