Townsen Memorial Surgery Center is looking for a Full Time Radiology Technologist for our facility in Kingwood, Texas
.
The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for preparing and operating radiographic, X‑ray, and fluoroscopic equipment used in the medical diagnosis and/or treatment of patients under the direction of the Physician/Surgeon.
Essential Functions- Maintain sterile field and implement best practices while in the operating room.
- Assure all materials and equipment are present and in working order.
- Adjust radiographic controls (kilovoltage, milliamperage) to prescribed specifications.
- Minimize radiation to patients and staff by practicing radiation protection techniques.
- Position patient and adjust equipment to obtain best quality X‑ray of the requested body area.
- Examine X‑ray for clarity of image, and retake when needed.
- Distribute films and transfer images to electronic medical records (EMR).
- Conduct quantity and quality control checks to assure X‑ray unit meets standards.
- Complete minor adjustments to equipment and schedule necessary repairs.
- Maintain production and quality of imaging procedures by following established standards.
- Report accidents promptly and correct minor safety hazards.
- Communicate with peers and management regarding hazards.
- Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection‑control policies.
- Protect patient and family privacy rights and maintain confidentiality per HIPAA.
- Follow all safety rules and company standards of conduct.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Knowledge of human anatomy and radiographic procedures.
- Knowledge of basic chemistry, film apparatus, processing techniques.
- Knowledge of disease imaging and exposure factors.
- Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
- Computer and MS Office proficiency.
- Strong communication and attention to detail.
- Ability to perform high‑quality radiology procedures timely.
- Ability to set up and operate radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment.
- Ability to lift and position patients.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and organized systems.
- Ability to respond quickly to changes in priorities or patient condition.
- Maintain calm, helpful attitude under stress.
- Maintain self‑composure and control emotions.
- Adapt with flexibility to change.
- Work independently with minimal supervision.
- Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology or Associate’s Degree in Radiology Studies.
- Licensed by the Medical State Board of Texas as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT).
- Certified by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- BLS certified.
- Two (2) years of radiology experience in a healthcare facility, with one year in the operating room.

Compensation to be determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
