Radiology Technician
Barbour Orthopaedics & Spine is seeking a Radiology Technician in our new Houston, Texas location to acquire high-quality images, ensure patient safety, and maintain compliance with clinical and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities- Perform diagnostic X‑ray and fluoroscopic imaging procedures as ordered by orthopaedic providers in accordance with ALARA and safety principles.
- Position patients accurately to obtain optimal images of the musculoskeletal system (spine, joints, and extremities).
- Operate digital radiography (DR) and picture archiving and communication system (PACS) equipment proficiently.
- Verify patient identification and confirm physician orders before performing examinations.
- Review and evaluate images for technical quality and diagnostic completeness before submitting to physicians or radiologists.
- Educate and guide patients through the imaging process, ensuring comfort, safety, and understanding.
- Maintain accurate patient and imaging documentation within the electronic health record (EHR) and PACS systems.
Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
Certification and
Experience:
- Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification (R).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
