Residential Support - Full-time – Overview
Avondale House is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit agency that provides educational services to individuals with autism. This position will provide direct support to our residential program.
Working HoursMonday‑Friday 4pm‑midnight (AWAKE) – 12am‑8am (SLEEP) – paid rates $13 per hour for awake shift, $7.25 for sleep time.
Job Duties- Coordinate house duties and implement each resident’s IEP/IPP.
- Implement target goals and objectives as written on each IEP/IPP.
- Keep daily data and records on each resident’s performance.
- Provide/supervise daily nutritional, health and hygiene care for all residents.
- Supervise medication administration program.
- Supervise recreational outings.
- Participate in monthly house meetings as part of staff development.
- Attend all in‑service training classes as scheduled.
- Ensure completion and entry into Reboot system of daily documentation.
- Maintain cleanliness of entire residence and organization of bedrooms.
- Work with staff to meet each client’s needs.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year experience in a residential setting, preferably with individuals with autism.
- CPR certified.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Patient, authoritative personality.

- Lifting up to 50 lbs; moving up to 100 lbs with assistance.
- Stand on feet 2‑3 hrs at a time.
- Stooping, bending, kneeling, pushing and pulling may be required.
- Capable of physically restraining clients if necessary.
- Handle stressful situations.
