PrescriptionIntake Pharmacist
Location: Hybrid – 8 Weeks Onsite (77018), Then Remote
• Must Reside in Houston, TX
Shift: Full-Time between 9am to 8pm
Responsibilities- Receive incoming prescriptions through electronic systems, fax, and phone calls; verify patient information, medication details, and prescriber instructions.
- Accurately enter prescription data into our pharmacy management system, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
- Review medication orders for potential drug interactions, allergies, or dosage issues; collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve concerns.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering patient inquiries, clarifying medication instructions, and counseling on usage and side effects.
- Work closely with pharmacy technicians, pharmacists, and providers to resolve prescription-related issues and ensure timely service.
- Maintain accurate records of prescription intake activities, adhering to confidentiality protocols and HIPAA regulations.
- Perform routine audits to ensure data accuracy and address any discrepancies promptly.
- Stay current on pharmacy regulations, best practices, and participate in professional development activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or Pharm.
D. from an accredited institution. - Current and active pharmacist license in Texas.
- 3–4 years of experience focused on prescription intake and prior authorizations; remote experience preferred.
- Must Reside in the Houston area.
