Center Well Senior Primary Care is hiring a Medical Assistant (Cardiology) at our Houston clinics. The role is a full‑time, on‑site position with flexible scheduling and the opportunity to work across multiple offices.
Pay & ScheduleBase pay: $44,000.00–$57,500.00 per year.
Working hours:
40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8 AM–5 PM. Mileage reimbursement is provided for travel between locations.
- Prepare patients for examinations and take vitals.
- Record and update patient medical histories in electronic medical records.
- Perform routine tests and screenings (e.g., mammograms, colorectal screening, EKGs).
- Administer medications and injections, including vaccinations, under provider direction.
- Counsel patients on medication use and special diets.
- Provide wound care and change dressings.
- Sterilize and clean equipment; maintain examination rooms.
- Collaborate closely with physicians and nurses to ensure high‑quality patient care.
- Collect phlebotomy samples accurately from senior‑aged patients.
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or equivalent office experience.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (speaking, reading, and writing).
- CPR certification.
- Advanced phlebotomy experience.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Willingness to be screened for tuberculosis and to work across multiple locations.
- Must be able to work onsite at Houston clinics.
- At least 1 year of experience in a cardiology office.
- 1+ year of EKG experience.
- 2+ years as a Certified or Registered Medical Assistant.
- First aid certification.
- Experience with HEDIS and electronic medical records.
- Experience in geriatric or other primary‑care settings.
- Rad Tech license (AART) is a plus.
Position requires float status; employees may be assigned to various offices as business needs arise.
Medical Assistant Certification may be required; candidates must obtain Humana‑approved certification within one year if not already certified.
