Mammography Technologist I/II
Upon the order of a qualified physician, the Mammography Technologist will use equipment producing ionizing radiation to obtain diagnostic images according to policies, procedures, and protocols of the KSC Radiology Department and Kelsey-Seybold Clinic. Responsibilities include performing Mammography and DEXA studies, utilizing the Radiology Information System (RIS) and PACS system, and may be assigned to other duties as deemed adequate by the supervisor.

Salary Range$71,692 – $98,302 (varies by education, experience, certifications)
Responsibilities- Obtain diagnostic images using mammography equipment per established protocols.
- Perform DEXA studies.
- Use RIS and PACS for image management.
- Assist with other technical or non-technical duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program.
- 40 hours of approved mammography training and 25 supervised exams.
- Work in compliance with FDA & TMB requirements for mammographers.
- BLS certification through American Heart Association.
- Mammo Tech I:
Minimum 1 year of Mammography and DEXA experience (preferred). - Mammo Tech II: 2 years experience in mammography or 1 year KSC experience in X-ray and/or SCNB experience (required). Preferred Mammography and SCNB experience.
- Mammo Tech I: ARRT(R) MRT-General Certificate; must attain ARRT(M) within one year (preferred).
- Mammo Tech II: ARRT(R)(M) MRT-General Certificate.
- BLS certification required for both.
- Experience using Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of mammography QA and accreditation requirements.
- Experience with PACS and RIS (preferred for Tech I).
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Bilingual preferred.
