Fire - Certified Volunteer

The Community Volunteer Fire Department is a response department that provides fire suppression, emergency medical services, and technical rescue response to an estimated population of 150,000 people within a geographic area of approximately 25 square miles. We are recruiting men and women who are dedicated to helping their fellow citizens.

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Must be able to submit at least 6 days of availability per month (12‑hour shifts, weeknights and weekends) with additional opportunities available.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States
• Must have the following certifications or experience:
  • TCFP Basic Firefighter Certification, or
  • SFFMA Firefighter II Certification, or
  • SFFMA Firefighter I Certification with experience, or
  • Course completion certificate from an academy meeting NFPA 1001 requirements, or
  • Documented equivalent training or experience.

Candidates who cannot provide documented training or experience must attend our Fire Academy.
