PER DIEM PET/CT Technologist ($2,500 Sign-On Bonus)

The role involves performing PET/CT, CT Simulation, diagnostic CT procedures, administering prepared radiopharmaceuticals and contrast media, and performing ordered examinations according to KSC Nuclear Medicine Department, Radiology Department, and Kelsey‑Seybold Clinic policies. The technologist may also perform general nuclear medicine imaging as needed, including nuclear cardiology, dynamic flow studies, and SPECT studies. Strict compliance with radiation safety and quality control procedures is required.
Patients are documented using EMR, RIS, and PACS.
- Perform PET/CT, CT Simulation, and diagnostic CT procedures.
- Administer prepared radiopharmaceuticals and contrast media.
- Conduct ordered examinations following departmental policies.
- Perform general nuclear medicine imaging as required (nuclear cardiology, dynamic flow studies, SPECT).
- Ensure compliance with radiation safety and quality control protocols.
- Document exams in EMR and RIS; archive images in PACS.
- Graduate from an accredited Nuclear Medicine or Radiology program (required). Preferred: also hold a Bachelor’s Degree in a healthcare‑related field.
- 6+ months clinical PET/CT and CT experience (required). Preferred: >3 years in both.
- Texas Medical Board Medical Technologist‑General Certificate; ARRT(CT) and NMTCB or ARRT(N) or registry eligible (required). Preferred: none.
- Current BLS certification through American Heart Association (required). Preferred: ACLS.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
