Position Summary – Possesses superior knowledge of various surgical equipment and advanced instrumentation in at least three specialties; develops, organizes, and delivers continuing education topics; serves as liaison to Instrument Techs; ensures equipment is cleaned and maintained.
Position Responsibilities- Demonstrates superior knowledge and practice in the first scrub role
- Understands supply costs and independently works with team to ensure quality of care while considering cost containment
- Ensures appropriate equipment and supplies are available for each procedure
- Assists in communication with Biomedical Services regarding equipment repair or maintenance needs
- Educates staff on the care of instrumentation and equipment
- Education and Licensure
- High School Diploma/GED
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) required as of Sept 1 2010 or "grandfathered" employees or LVN
- BCLS for some locations
- Minimum Experience
- Two (2) years of experience
- Able to work in at least 3 different specialty areas

Pay Range – $29.44 – $43.79 /hour
