Responsibilities

Cypress Creek Hospital is a free-standing 128-bed acute care psychiatric hospital located in north Houston, TX, and minutes south of The Woodlands. Cypress Creek Hospital features individual units for adolescents and adults and offers inpatient acute care, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs. On average, over 10,000 patients receive care from our compassionate health care team each year at Cypress Creek Hospital.

We currently have an opportunity for a PRN Certified Pharmacy Technician.

The Certified Pharmacy Technician works under the direct supervision of the Pharmacist in providing pharmaceutical services to adolescent and adult patients as prescribed by the physician. Must be able to work every other weekend and as needed.

• Accurately fill medication cart.
• Print and label patient medications.
• Deliver medication to nursing units.
• Assist Pharmacist in maintaining accurate patient profiles containing all patient information necessary for clinical monitoring. All necessary patient information (allergies, height, weight, diagnosis, etc.) will be entered into the computer daily.
• Assist Pharmacist in identification and entry of medication orders into computer.
• Record medication billing into computer daily.
• Billing will be accurate and completed daily.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Must be available to work weekends.

Pharmacy Technician Requirements:

• Education:
  
  H.S. diploma with graduation from a pharmacy technician program
• Experience:
  
  One year hospital experience
• Licensure:
  Current certification from the Texas Pharmacy Board
• Certifications:
  
  None
• Additional Requirements:
  
  Computer skills. Flexible hours to include weekends.
• Ability to work weekends is a must.
