Job Type: Per Diem – Salary Range: $37.99 - $38.01/hr (based on education, experience, certifications).

Upon the order of a qualified physician, the Per Diem Radiology Technologist will utilize equipment that produces ionizing radiation to obtain radiographs for diagnostic purposes in accordance with the policies, procedures, and protocols of the KSC Radiology Department and Kelsey‑Seybold Clinic. Equipment includes fluoroscopic, digital radiographic, and routine radiographic rooms used with CR technology for image acquisition. Imaging services vary by location;
rotation through the ambulatory surgery center may be required to provide radiographic support via a radiographic C‑arm or portable unit, and the performance of fluoroscopic exams may be required depending on the assigned site. The Radiology Technologist will use the designated Radiology Information System (RIS) to complete clerical processes and the designated Patient Archiving System (PACS).
Acquire diagnostic radiographs using ionizing radiation equipment according to established protocols; operate fluoroscopic and digital radiographic systems; assist in rotating to ambulatory surgery centers as needed; document procedures in RIS and PACS; maintain equipment and safety standards.
Qualifications EducationRequired:
High School diploma or equivalent;
Graduate of an AMA‑approved school of Radiologic Technology.
Preferred:
Associate in Applied Science – Radiology Technology.

Preferred:
Minimum 1‑year clinical Radiology Technologist experience; experience with PACS and RIS.
Required:
Eligible for ARRT (R) registry Graduate Technologist designation; must attain ARRT(R) and MRT‑General Certificate Status within one year of eligibility, or ARRT (R) / MRT‑General Certificate.
BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
Special SkillsRequired:
Ability to use a computer keyboard and understand elements of digital image acquisition.
Required:
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Preferred:
Bilingual or multilingual.
