Physician Assistant – Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery

Join our dynamic Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery team as a dedicated Physician Assistant. In this vital role you will assist in a variety of critical surgical procedures, manage wound care and closures, and contribute to a smooth recovery and the best possible outcomes.

• Assist in surgical procedures including vein harvesting, venous and arterial lines, drive lines, suturing, and LVAD dressing management.
• Manage pre‑operative and post‑operative patient care and coordinate with the multidisciplinary team.
• Contribute to wound care, closure, and post‑surgical care practices.

• Minimum two years of cardiothoracic and cardiovascular surgery experience.
• One year of transplant experience.
• Current Texas Physician Assistant licensure and certification by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants.
• BLS certification or department required specialty.
• Proficient in the use of medical and surgical instruments and equipment.
