Diagnostic Imaging Supervisor - General Ultrasound
Join our Ultrasound team at MD Anderson Cancer Center to deliver exceptional patient care and ensure smooth clinical operations in a dynamic imaging environment. This full‑time supervisor oversees the General Ultrasound Section, rotating between inpatient and outpatient departments with flexibility in hours and days as operational or staffing needs change. The supervisor must be on‑site, with a minimum of 50% scanning time, and be prepared to step in and support the team across any location or shift as needed.
ShiftHours
- Saturday and Sunday: 8AM‑4:30PM (inpatient)
- Wednesday to Friday: 8AM‑4:30PM (rotate between inpatient and outpatient)
- Wednesday to Friday: 9:30AM‑6PM (rotate between inpatient and outpatient)
- Provide patient care within scope of practice, including assessments, IV insertion, education, and medication administration.
- Ensure patient safety, privacy, and compliance with infection control and HIPAA standards.
- Operate imaging equipment, perform quality assurance, and maintain accurate documentation.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize workflow and patient experience.
- Lead huddles, mentor staff, and support quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain licensure, certifications, and adherence to regulatory/accreditation standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required:
Graduate of a Radiology Technology, Ultrasound Technology, or Nuclear Medicine Technology program or Associate’s Degree in Applied Science. Preferred:
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.

2 years as a Registered Technologist. - Required:
1 year Lead/supervisory experience. Successful completion of the LEADing Self Accelerate and/or LEADing Self Discover programs may substitute for one year of required supervisory or management experience. Completion of both programs can be substituted for a maximum of two years of supervisory or management experience.
- Required:
CMRT – Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist licensure by the Texas Medical Board (TMB) upon hire. - Required:
ARRT – American Registry of Radiologic Technologists registration by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) upon hire. - Required:
NMTCB – Nuclear Medicine Tech Certification by the Nuclear Medicine Technologist Certification Board (NMTCB) upon hire. - Required:
ARDMS – Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonography registration by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) upon hire. - Preferred:
Certified/registered in respective modality upon hire. - Preferred: CPR – Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation upon hire.
Must pass pre‑employment skills test as required and administered by Human Resources.
