The Sterile Processing Technician III is a certified technician whose areas of responsibilities cover decontamination, assembling, sterilizing, storing, and distributing surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment according to established standards/guidelines. The SP Tech III demonstrates personal and professional effectiveness when working in an indirect patient care department and addressing the request of the customer or provider.
Minimum Qualifications Education- High School Diploma or GED
- Central Service Technology Course/Or Equivalent Work Experience (at least one year experience in central sterile processing)
- One of the following: CRCST, CSPDT, or CRMST
- One of the following: CIS or CER
- Three (3) years' experience with Central Sterile Processing
- Above Average Verbal Communication (Heavy Public Contact)
- Writing/ Reports:
Legible handwriting and coherent writing
- PC:
Skills must be appropriate to meet the job requirements
