The Surgical Technologist II (ST II) assists the surgical team in operative procedures utilizing proper aseptic technique. The ST II possesses current knowledge of equipment, suture, and procedures being performed, and demonstrates personal and professional effectiveness.
Qualifications- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Graduation from an accredited educational program for surgical technologists.
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting or the National Center for Competency Testing.
- Current CPR certification.
One (1) year related experience.
Skills & Requirements- Proficiency with surgical instruments and equipment.
- Excellent communication skills: above‑average verbal, heavy public contact, and correspondence.
- Other skills: medical terminology, word processing.
- Computer and/or key‑entry experience.
Weekends, holidays, flexible, on‑call.
