Travel Interventional Radiology Technologist
Fusion Medical Staffing-Cath Lab seeks a Travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13‑week assignment in Houston, Texas. The role offers competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, and full support from a dedicated clinical team.

- Hours: 40 per week (8‑hour days)

- One year of recent experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist
- Valid ARRT or RCIS/RCES Certification in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- Current ACLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- Valid Radiologic Technologist license in compliance with state regulations
- PALS or ENPC certification
- Additional certifications or licenses as required for the position
- Prepare and position patients for interventional radiology procedures, ensuring comfort and safety
- Operate imaging equipment (fluoroscopy, CT, ultrasound) to guide procedures
- Assist physicians by scrubbing in and maintaining a sterile field during procedures
- Monitor and document patient vital signs and procedural details
- Administer contrast media and monitor for adverse reactions
- Ensure proper radiation safety measures for patients, staff, and self
- Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment, ensuring readiness for procedures
- Manage and restock procedural supplies
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other team members for seamless patient care
- Follow all infection control, safety, and regulatory protocols
- Provide patient education before, during, and after procedures
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support IR lab operations
- Adhere to hospital safety protocols, infection control guidelines, and regulatory standards
- Critical thinking, service excellence, and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficiency in reading and understanding written instructions and following verbal instructions
- PC skills
- Physical ability to remain stationary, move equipment (50‑100 lb), push, pull, and bend
- Professionalism and ability to work with diverse team members
- Fine motor skills for manipulation of instruments during procedures
- Capacity to handle pressure, irregular activity, and continuous concentration to detail
- Visual acuity and effective communication
