Job Summary
Position responsible for providing proficient perioperative patient care through the use of equipment and instrumentation. Acts as a scrub assistant to physicians performing operative and/or invasive procedures under the direction of a Registered Nurse, and follows the Surgical Technologist Skills Inventory to serve as a role model and resource for other staff.
LocationTexas Medical Center, Houston, TX.
Work Schedule- Full‑time; 6:30 am–7 pm every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
- CST and BLS (American Heart Association) required
- 2+ years of CV (open heart) experience preferred
$10,000 relocation assistance available for qualified candidates.
QualificationsEducation: Graduate of a Surgical Technologist Program
Certification: Certified in Basic Life Support; current certification as a Surgical Technologist by the National Board of Surgical Technology & Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
