We are seeking licensed beauty professionals to join our luxury salon community as independent contractors. This opportunity is ideal for motivated entrepreneurs who want the freedom to operate their own beauty business while working in a professional, clean, and supportive salon environment. Professionals may choose between booth rental (open-concept) or a private salon suite, allowing you to select the setup that best fits your brand and clientele.

This role is not an employment position. All professionals operate as independent business owners and are fully responsible for:

• Filing and paying their own taxes
• Maintaining their own business entity and insurance
• Managing their own clients, pricing, schedule, and services
• Complying with all local and state business requirements

No employee benefits are provided.

• Booth Rental: Open-concept station within the shared salon space
• Private Salon Suite: Enclosed, private suite based on size and availability

This is an on-site role for an Independent Beauty Professional – Booth Rental or Private Salon Suite at Mila Bee Studios, located in Houston, TX 77065. The role involves providing exceptional beauty services tailored to clients  needs, maintaining a clean and inviting workspace, and building strong relationships with clients to ensure repeat business. You will be responsible for managing your schedule, maintaining your station or suite, and ensuring adherence to industry health and safety standards.

This role also includes the opportunity for professionals to operate independently within the studio while benefiting from a community of like-minded beauty professionals.

• Provide beauty services within your licensed scope
• Maintain a clean, sanitary, and professional workspace
• Follow all state board, health, and safety regulations
• Keep a current and valid professional license on-site
• Deliver excellent customer service and maintain professionalism
• Respect shared spaces and fellow professionals
• Clean your station or suite daily and between clients

• Proficiency in beauty service delivery, such as hairstyling, cosmetology, skincare, makeup application, or related areas
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to the beauty industry
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills to build and maintain client relationships
• Business management skills, including scheduling, client retention, and basic financial management
• Previous experience in a salon or beauty-related setting is highly desirable
• Licensed professional in the beauty industry, per state and federal requirements
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a professional and collaborative studio environment
