Overview
P4
FIP (Precinct 4 Forward Internship Program) is a 9-week paid summer internship for students with a passion for serving others. You will be surrounded by team members who bring “heart, hustle, and higher standards” to work each day. These leaders advance opportunity and justice as they deliver services to and advocate for the residents of Harris County. The team is innovative, dynamic, and forward-looking.
The program exposes students to career opportunities with Harris County and allows them to apply classroom learning to hands-on projects, bridging the gap between academic understanding and practical professional experience. Students from all schools, and those who identify with groups historically underrepresented (including Black, Hispanic, Native American, students with disabilities, and veterans) are encouraged to apply. Interns will create a community to support their personal and professional development, work with a mentor, form relationships with other interns, and engage the Senior Leadership Team.
