This is a full-time, on-site Police Officer role located in Houston, TX. Police Officers at UHD are responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the campus community, enforcing laws and university policies, and maintaining public order. Daily responsibilities include patrolling university property, responding to emergencies, conducting criminal investigations, securing evidence, and fostering positive relationships with students, faculty, and staff through community policing initiatives.
Qualifications- Strong understanding of legal principles and applicable laws relevant to police work.
- Communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse community members.
- Ability to perform functions requiring physical endurance and operate under high-pressure situations.
- Valid state driver’s license and eligibility to be licensed as a peace officer in the state of Texas.
