We are partnering with a growing Houston-based investment firm to add a Corporate Finance Analyst to their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Big 4 auditor or public accountant with 1–3+ years of experience who wants to transition into the investment industry and gain exposure to fund operations, financial reporting, and strategic projects.

This role offers broad exposure across the business, working closely with senior leadership while supporting both firm-level accounting and investment fund operations. It’s a great fit for someone who enjoys variety in their work and wants to build a career within private markets and investment management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with monthly close activities, including journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Support preparation and review of financial statements and internal reporting
  • Assist with fund operations, including capital calls, distributions, and investor reporting
  • Partner with external auditors, tax advisors, and fund administrators during audit and reporting cycles
  • Help prepare materials for leadership reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
  • Support financial analysis, modeling, and strategic planning initiatives
  • Assist with process improvements and automation efforts across finance operations
  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis and support various business initiatives
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 1–3 years of public accounting experience (Big 4 or large firm preferred)
  • Exposure to financial services, investment funds, or energy clients is a plus
  • CPA or pursuing CPA preferred
  • Strong Excel and analytical skills
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
