Role

Director, International Tax — We are seeking a Director or Senior Director with international tax experience to join our growing International Tax practice. You will work with experienced partners and teams in the United States and globally on complex international tax matters to add value for clients while being a trusted advisor. How

You Will Contribute
  • Provide tax consulting services to public and private multinational clients on the tax implications of their international operations, including business operating model optimization/supply chain planning, IP migration, cross-border M&A, internal restructurings, and more.
  • Identify complex tax issues, provide analysis and recommendations, and assist with the design and implementation of comprehensive global tax restructuring and planning.
  • Review Excel-based computations and models of international tax computations, including projections and scenario modeling.
  • Review international tax opinions and memorandums.
  • Review international tax compliance and accounting for income taxes.
  • Collaborate with the A&M Global Tax network and other service lines, including Transfer Pricing, to deliver integrated work products.
  • Build client relationships by understanding their business, identifying tax opportunities, offering proactive support, and delivering exceptional client service.
  • Manage risk, staffing, and financial performance for multiple engagements, including billing, collections, profitability, and project budgets.
  • Provide supportive leadership, mentoring, and performance feedback to engagement teams.
  • Foster relationships across Tax and other firm areas to present clients with opportunities for additional support.
  • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion across the practice.
  • Actively pursue business development opportunities and source new relationships.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Law (J.D./L.L.M.)
  • Licensed CPA or Licensed Attorney
  • 8+ years of international tax planning experience, preferably in professional services (Big 4 or equivalent)
  • 4+ years’ experience managing teams and engagements
  • Passion for mentoring, coaching, and developing teams
  • Proven experience as a trusted advisor with the ability to interpret analyses, deliverables, and recommendations
  • Experience leading others while managing risk, staffing, and financial performance for multiple engagements
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to establish credibility and influence clients
  • Self-starter with intellectual curiosity and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to run large, complex engagements and oversee multiple teams
  • Leadership, organizational, and project management skills
  • Proficiency in written documentation of tax issues and analysis (e.g., technical memoranda, step plans, tax opinion letters)
