Forvis Mazars' International Tax Services (ITS) Group strives to help companies as they work to achieve tax efficiency in their international operations. From major multinationals already operating in several countries to smaller businesses planning their first foray abroad, companies face a daunting array of regulations and tax concerns that impact and inform their global business decisions.

The International Tax Intern is a position supporting ITS consultants and tax professionals around the firm. In this position, the intern will work under the supervision and guidance of International Tax Services leadership. The position requires working with Forvis Mazars' ITS team in completing international tax compliance and planning projects that include IC-DISC analysis and return preparation, tax reporting for foreign operations of US companies, earnings & profits calculations, foreign tax credit calculations as well as other projects as required.

The position requires a strong interest in accounting and tax.

• Working with other professionals within the Tax Specialty team; working with tax professionals domestically and internationally
• Providing tax consulting and compliance in a professional environment for the effective diagnosis, solution, development, and implementation of tax solutions
• Helping to draft and assisting in the delivery of client projects; use quantitative analysis to solve issues that arise
• Assisting with US tax reporting for international transactions
• Assisting with providing IC-DISC administration and compliance
• Learning aspects of Global Mobility Services tax including social security, tax planning, tax compliance and withholding tax implications for employees working outside the US
• Working with computer programs such as Microsoft Excel and Go Systems
• Delivering Forvis Mazars' commitment to unmatched client experience through timely and responsive communication with internal and external clients

• Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in accounting
  • Maintenance of a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • All accounting (or job relevant) coursework must be completed with a grade of C or above
  • Intermediate Accounting completed with a grade of C or above, where applicable
• Solid technical accounting knowledge
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

• Interested in pursuing the CPA license
