Private Equity Associate - Energy

Our client is a leading private equity platform with $40B AUM investing across the US energy value chain. Its core strategy provides growth capital to upstream oil and gas companies, while also deploying capital across midstream and energy transition businesses.

The energy transition strategy manages close to $3B in assets and is run by an 11-person investment team. The group is currently fundraising and is hiring an Investment Associate as an expansion. Experience level required is 2 to 4 years. No visa sponsorship is available.

This is a hands-on investing role on a compact, senior-led team focused on power and adjacent energy transition opportunities.

• Source and evaluate power and energy transition investment opportunities; develop clear commercial and financial theses.
• Build and own detailed financial and operational models, including returns and sensitivity analyses.
• Lead diligence coordination across technical, commercial, ESG, and legal work streams.
• Draft investment memoranda and present recommendations to senior investment professionals.
• Support portfolio oversight and execution of value-creation initiatives.
• Assist in transaction structuring, negotiation, and execution.
• 2–4 years in power-focused investment banking or buyside investing.
• Strong financial modeling capability and commercial judgment.
• Practical understanding of power markets and technologies.
• Proactive, execution-oriented, and collaborative.
