Overview

At Gallagher, we’re united by a commitment to growth, shared goals, and shaping a future defined by excellence. As a Senior Financial Benefit Consultant, you’ll play a key role in helping clients make informed financial decisions, mentoring team members, and driving impactful solutions. This is your chance to join a team that values curiosity, collaboration, and service-minded innovation.

How you'll make an impact

In this role, you’ll guide account teams and clients through financial decision-making processes using advanced tools and insights. You’ll analyze complex data, prepare detailed reports, and provide actionable recommendations to help clients manage costs and funding levels effectively. You’ll also mentor team members, ensuring they’re equipped to deliver exceptional service. Your expertise will contribute to measurable ROI for clients and strengthen Gallagher’s reputation as a trusted partner.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Prepare, analyze, and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports tracking client performance, expenses, renewals, funding levels, and rates, and address abnormal findings with Account Management teams and clients.
  • Analyze complex carrier data and provide strategic recommendations to support rate negotiations and funding decisions.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert and resource to branch offices, contributing to client retention, ROI, and market competitiveness.
  • Train, mentor, assign, monitor, and peer review work of Financial Benefits Consulting team members; oversee client and service team communications.
  • Maintain proficiency in proprietary models, underwriting tools, internal systems, and ensure compliance with departmental protocols.
  • Review and interpret contract documents (e.g., plan summaries, administrative agreements) and guide subordinates in contract analysis.
  • Independently manage client accounts, escalated service issues, special projects, and broad assignments requiring originality and best-practice development.
  • Support presentations, communications, and process improvements by introducing new ideas that enhance client deliverables and team efficiency.
About You

You’re a confident problem-solver with a passion for helping clients succeed. You have a strong background in employee benefits and financial analysis, and you’re skilled at using tools like Microsoft Excel to deliver results. You’re organized, detail-oriented, and thrive in fast-paced environments. You enjoy mentoring others and building positive relationships with colleagues and clients.

What you’ll bring:

  • A bachelor’s degree (preferably in finance or math) and 5+ years of experience in health and benefits on the broker or carrier side.
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with carrier reporting systems.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to manage client accounts independently.
  • A solutions-focused approach to challenges and a commitment to continuous learning.
