Position: Area Chief / Productivity Accountant
Join us for this incredible opportunity to be part of our team as an Area Chief Accountant Full-Time supporting Hyatt Regency Houston-Downtown located in Houston, TX and, as needed, support the Hyatt Centric the Woodlands located in The Woodlands, TX.

The Chief Accountant plays a key role in overseeing the financial operations of both the hotels, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with Hyatt's financial policies, and support for strategic decision-making. This position is responsible for maintaining financial controls, assisting in budgeting and forecasting, and working closely with the Area Director of Finance to optimize the hotel's financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

* Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Hyatt policies and local financial regulations.

* Assist in variance analysis to support strategic financial planning.

* Conduct monthly balance sheet reconciliations and ensure timely closing of accounts.

* Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger functions.

* Oversee Olympia/Productivity function for Hyatt Regency Houston Downtown.

* Ensure compliance with local tax laws, financial regulations, and Hyatt's financial policies.

* Coordinate internal and external audits, preparing necessary financial documentation.

* Maintain proper financial records and ensure adherence to internal controls.

* Work closely with department heads to provide financial insights and support in decision-making.

* Monitor cash flow, revenue, and expenses to maintain financial stability.

* Identify areas for cost savings and operational efficiencies without compromising service quality.

* Assist the team with Month-end closing and ensuring financial success of both properties.
