Tarvos Talent is exclusively working with a client located in Central Houston, this is a contract to hire opportunity. This role supports the company’s U.S. and Canadian tax compliance, ensuring timely and accurate federal, state, provincial, and local filings while partnering cross-functionally to support ongoing tax requirements.
Responsibilities- Prepare and assist with income, property, and sales & use tax filings for U.S. and Canadian entities
- Calculate and remit tax payments accurately and on time
- Assist with tax notices, audits, and correspondence
- Support tax registrations and deregistrations across jurisdictions
- Perform monthly tax reconciliations
- Research and resolve complex tax issues and compliance questions
- Stay current on tax legislation and regulatory changes
- Coordinate with internal teams to gather required tax information
