NGLs​/Olefins & Derivatives Market Analyst

Mercuria Americas LLC is seeking to fill a North American NGLs/Olefins/Derivatives Trading Analyst Role. This role will support the NGLs/Olefins trading day-to-day duties to include, but not limited to, the following:

• Become subject matter expert in assigned products and be able to recommend/debate trades in the NGLs/Olefins markets
• Create, maintain, and adapt fundamental analysis models/dashboards to evaluate and forecast North American NGLs/Olefins/Derivatives supply and demand
• Support traders with daily news and information flows
• Individual projects to aid in developing market views
• Build Python/VBA scripts to increase efficiency of daily processes

The successful candidate for this role must fulfill the following requirements:

• Four (4) year university degree
• Experience or knowledge of the ethane, propane, butane, naphtha, ethylene, propylene and olefins derivatives markets preferred but not required
• Advanced skills in Excel and Microsoft Office
• Python (strongly preferred, but a sub could be R/Java)
• Basic understanding of VBA
• Tableau or Data Bricks experience preferred but not necessary
• SQL query, or some other database experience
• Financial Modeling preferred but not required
