Primary PurposeLeads execution of strategic planning processes across business units, ensuring integration and alignment with organizational priorities. Provides guidance on complex analyses and supports development of actionable strategies. Leads all activities related to developing/maintaining the financial plan, including forecasts/reporting for US FID projects during execution & operating phases. Proactively partners with Operations, E&C, Accounting, Planning, Treasury, and Tax to ensure cohesive planning process, timely monthly reporting, and accurate cashflow forecasting.
Leads and manages ad‑hoc requests.
- Oversees variance analysis, reviews actual results, identifies/reports emerging issues that impact earnings, balance sheet performance, and cashflow forecasts.
- Leads the preparation and review of several financial and project reports to be included in each project's reporting package such as variance analysis, financial statements analysis, Cash Flow Forecast and any other reports requested by management.
- Directs activity and reviews presentations to communicate results of financial plans and forecast to all key stakeholders inclusive of external partners.
- Oversees the execution of strategic planning processes, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and market demands.
- Guides team members through the evaluation of potential acquisition and partnership opportunities.
- Leads cross-functional strategic projects, facilitating collaboration and ensuring timely delivery of outcomes.
- Reviews and validates financial analyses and business models to support strategic recommendations.
- Keeps abreast of market trends and competitive activities, providing insights to influence strategic decisions.
- Negotiates less complex strategic transactions and supports more senior managers in highly complex dealings.
- Reviews and refines departmental processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness in strategic planning tasks.
- Promotes a culture of strategic awareness and collaboration within the team, fostering a proactive approach to opportunities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Typically requires a 4-year degree in a relevant field, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
- Typically requires 8 years of related experience.
- 5 years of LNG industry experience preferred.
