Chief Financial Officer

Reports To:

Chief Executive Officer

Position Summary:

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) serves as the strategic financial leader of Bee Busy Wellness Center and is responsible for the overall financial health, sustainability, compliance, forecasting, and risk management of the organization. The CFO ensures full compliance with HRSA Section 330 requirements, Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200), federal appropriations mandates, GAAP standards, Medicare and Medicaid cost reporting requirements, 340B program financial oversight, and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.

The CFO provides forward-looking financial leadership and partners with the CEO and Board of Directors to ensure long-term fiscal stability and growth.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required;
    Master’s preferred.
  • CPA strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 7–10 years progressive healthcare finance leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated experience preparing FQHC cost reports.
  • Strong knowledge of 2 CFR 200 and federal grant compliance.
  • Experience with 340B financial oversight.
  • Experience presenting financial data to Boards.
Significant Duties and Functions Strategic Financial Leadership
  • Develop multi-year financial sustainability plans and revenue diversification strategies.
  • Lead long-term financial forecasting, cash flow modeling, and scenario planning.
  • Provide financial projections and pro forma analysis for expansion and new service lines.
  • Advise CEO and Board on financial risks, funding cliffs, and capital planning.
  • Lead pricing strategy in collaboration with executive leadership.
Cost Reporting & Reimbursement Oversight
  • Prepare and oversee Medicare and Medicaid Cost Reports.
  • Develop and maintain cost allocation methodology compliant with federal standards.
  • Monitor PPS reimbursement and wrap payment calculations.
  • Ensure accurate reporting and reconciliation of encounter data tied to reimbursement.
340B Financial Oversight
  • Oversee financial reconciliation of 340B program revenues and expenditures.
  • Ensure compliance with federal 340B program requirements.
  • Analyze 340B net margin and forecast impact on organizational sustainability.
  • Coordinate internal or external audits of 340B financial performance.
Grant & Contract Financial Compliance
  • Oversee all federal, state, city, and private grant financial management.
  • Approve and submit grant budget modifications.
  • Monitor grant burn rates and drawdowns.
  • Ensure compliance with Uniform Guidance (2 CFR 200) and Executive Level II salary cap.
  • Ensure accurate preparation of Financial Status Reports (FSRs).
Audit & Internal Control Leadership
  • Lead Single Audit coordination and external audit engagement.
  • Design and monitor internal control systems to safeguard assets.
  • Ensure segregation of duties and procurement compliance.
  • Address and resolve audit findings in collaboration with executive leadership.
Board & Executive Reporting
  • Present monthly financial statements and forecasts to the Board of Directors.
  • Translate complex financial data into strategic insight for executive decision-making.
  • Provide financial dashboards including KPIs, liquidity ratios, and sustainability metrics.
Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervises the Director of Finance/Controller and oversees all finance department staff including revenue cycle, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll functions.

Physical & Work Requirements

Work is primarily performed in an office environment. Prolonged sitting, computer use, and participation in meetings are required.
