Director of Finance

Our Construction client is hiring a strategic, hands‑on Finance Leader to partner with the Regional President and Operations team to drive project profitability, cash performance, and disciplined regional growth. This Director of Finance role is highly embedded with field leadership and plays a critical role in forecasting, job performance oversight, and operational decision support.

** This Director of Finance role is fully on-site with 15% travel. **

• Lead regional budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning tied to backlog, production, and growth targets
• Partner closely with Operations, Project Managers, and Estimating to monitor job cost, margins, billing status, change orders, and financial risk
• Provide clear financial visibility into project performance, working capital, and regional profitability
• Support monthly close, WIP reviews, and GAAP‑compliant construction revenue recognition
• Monitor cash flow, over/under billings, collections, and project financial health across the portfolio
• Evaluate capital investments, major bids, and strategic growth initiatives
• Strengthen ERP reporting, dashboards, and financial processes to improve speed and accuracy of decision‑making
• Ensure strong internal controls while acting as the key finance bridge between corporate accounting and regional operations
• Lead and develop the regional finance/accounting team

• 10+ years finance/accounting experience with strong exposure to construction or project‑based business
• Deep understanding of job costing, WIP reporting, revenue recognition, and project forecasting
• Experience partnering directly with field leadership and project teams
• ERP experience required (Vista strongly preferred);
  Power BI a plus
• CPA/MBA or equivalent experience valued
• Strong communicator who can translate financial data into operational action
