We have a direct hire opportunity with a fantastic client in Downtown Houston (near Memorial Park). This is a fully onsite, permanent role for a Credit Analyst who will own the credit approval process, support customer relationships, and help keep Accounts Receivable clean, current, and collectible.
About the RoleThis role involves managing the credit approval process and maintaining customer relationships while ensuring the Accounts Receivable is well-maintained.
Responsibilities- Review/process new credit applications; recommend terms and credit limits
- Perform periodic credit reviews/updates on existing customers
- Complete Credit Review & Authorization documentation for leadership approval
- Set up new customer accounts; maintain customer data and credit history
- Maintain sales tax exemption certificates and correct tax coding
- Monitor past due accounts; conduct collections outreach (phone/email) and document activity
- Research/resolve disputes, short pays, debits; assist with reconciliations
- Support reporting (open debits/disputes/short pays), cash application accuracy, and invoice transmission follow-up
- Identify ownership changes/risk “red flags” and escalate to Credit leadership as needed
- B2B credit analysis and/or A/R collections experience
- Strong financial/risk assessment skills (D&B/NACM/report-based reviews preferred)
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
