Accounting Analyst

Sales Commissions & Accounting Analyst
- Onsite in Houston (80K-90K)

This role manages end-to-end sales commission and incentive compensation processing while supporting general accounting activities. The position partners with Finance, HR, and Sales to ensure accurate payments, strong controls, and efficient reporting.

• Administer commission and incentive compensation plans
• Calculate, review, and process commission payments accurately and on time
• Prepare commission and payroll journal entries
• Analyze payroll and commission expense trends and variances
• Serve as a point of contact for compensation-related inquiries
• Maintain documentation and support audit requests

• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
• Assist with month-end and year-end close
• Support budget preparation and variance analysis
• Assist with sales tax reporting and internal controls

• Assist with invoicing for select accounts
• Support special projects as needed

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 2+ years of experience in commissions, payroll, accounting, or finance
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
• Working knowledge of general ledger accounting and reconciliations
• Experience partnering cross-functionally with Finance, HR, and Sales
• Proficiency with Excel and financial systems
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
