Overview

Wood's Operations Americas division is seeking a Finance Manager with experience in the US Onshore Operations sector to support construction projects
. While the preferred location is our Houston, TX office
, Wood will consider well-qualified candidates based in the US in a remote capacity with occasional travel to Wood offices.

The Role

The role has dual reporting responsibilities to the Senior Finance Manager and to the Operational Leader within the US Onshore Operations business. Business partnering is a key element of the role, providing finance and decision-making support through building relationships with operational leadership. The role provides analysis, insight and views on the financial performance of the business, acting as a trusted advisor to add value for decision making.

The role carries profit and loss and working capital responsibility; in certain cases, it will also involve balance sheet responsibilities for the applicable business. Other main aspects include governance, financial control, internal and external reporting, financial forecasting and cash collection.

Responsibilities
  • Full responsibility for all financial matters including accurate and timely completion of monthly reporting, optimizing financial performance
  • Report on the financial performance to senior management including variance analysis, accounts receivables, DSO, accruals and unbilled analysis
  • Ownership for annual budget, forecasts and rolling forecasts in conjunction with senior management, including validation/challenge over backlog, inputs from BD and operations
  • Ensure forecasting accuracy and predictability through the rolling forecast vs monthly actual result process
  • Responsible for driving sustainable working capital improvements and/or maintaining performance with operating management, project managers, supply chain and other relevant areas to optimize cash collection and minimize DSO, including customer relationships and reporting
  • Ownership of implementation and financial adherence with the finance operating model
  • Assisting during client audits and dispute management
