Role Overview

We are seeking a Cost Analyst to support our Exploration and Subsurface teams. The role focuses on cost tracking, budgeting, and financial reporting for upstream oil & gas projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Track and manage costs for international and domestic exploration assets.
• Prepare monthly forecasts and annual budgets with managers.
• Process and monitor accruals in SAP.
• Perform variance analysis (actual vs. budget) and provide insights.
• Manage KPIs and build cost reports/dashboards.
• Collaborate with finance, drilling, procurement, and subsurface teams.
• Support financial audits and ad-hoc analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or Business.
• Minimum 3 years’ cost analysis experience in Oil & Gas (Exploration, Drilling, or Subsurface).
• Strong skills in SAP and MS Excel.
• Experience with forecasting, budgeting, accruals, and variance analysis.
• Excellent communication skills to work with technical and finance teams.

Preferred

• Experience with Hyperion or other financial databases.
• Knowledge of Power
  
  BI, Tableau, or Spotfire.
• Joint Venture / Cash Call accounting exposure.
