R&D Tax Associate

What This Role Will Do

This position supports companies in claiming federal and state R&D tax credits.

Responsibilities include:

• Drafting technical narratives and memos explaining qualifying R&D activities
• Conducting legal and technical research related to R&D tax credit claims
• Preparing and assembling client deliverables
• Supporting and eventually conducting technical interviews with client personnel
• Collaborating with senior team members on complex engagements

• Normal work hours (40 hours per week)
• Very limited overtime; rare to work past 6:00 PM

• Exam leave

• 0-3 years of experience
• Detail-oriented individual with strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel
• Experience with data analytics tools such as Alteryx is a plus, but not required
• Ability to travel and work at client locations as needed

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company s 401(k) retirement plan.
